Waste and Recycling
Open Wednesday and Saturday from 8:00am - 2:00pm and starting May
1st – Sundays from 9:00am to 1:00pm until the last Sunday in September.
Current Fees Effective June 1, 2024
RECYCLABLE MATERIALS:
Recyclable Plastic, Glass, Cardboard, and Paper can be comingled and cardboard boxes must be broken down.
Recyclables MUST be put in the dumpsters un-bagged.

Brush and Yard Waste
Normal yard waste is accepted at no cost. Trailer loads are $100/load. Please dump in the appropriate piles as signed or ask the on-duty Attendant. During the winter months, disposal may not be possible due to snow accumulation. Because we recycle all brush and yard waste material, it needs to remain free of other debris.
Homeowner (Not contractor) Construction debris (shingles, lumber, insulation, siding, shingles, etc.) - $50/half ton pickup load
Compost
All compost will be sold at $5.00 per yard (estimated at one pickup load).
No compost will be sold for commercial use.
All Compost will be loaded by hand, by the individual(s) picking up the compost for liability reasons, not by the town employees. Special requests for larger quantities to be purchased must be coordinated with the Town of Hayward Road Supervisor (715) 634-5410.
LARGE TRASH ITEMS:
Furniture & mattresses - $30/item
Construction Debris - $50/half ton pick up load
CURBSIDE PICKUP?
Waste Management and Republic Services both offer curbside pickup in the Town of Hayward for trash and recyclables.
