The Town of Hayward would like to address the COVID-19 virus concerns and the upcoming election.
As of today, March 17, the April 7 Election will still be held as planned.
However, due to the rising concerns of groups of people and guidelines regarding social distancing, the Town of Hayward is recommending that voters vote absentee in this election.
If you are a Town of Hayward Voter, please follow our guidelines for Absentee Voting in this Election. Other political groups and organizations are offering advice and other Townships and Municipalities may do things differently. This is how the Town of Hayward is handling Absentee Voting for April 2020 Election.
Please use the https://myvote.wi.gov website to request your ballot. The request will be sent directly to your clerk and the ballot will be mailed to you.
You may also email the Town Clerk directly at [email protected] Please include your name, address and a copy of your photo ID.
The Clerk will be available to do in person absentee voting, but on an as needed basis. Please make the In-Person voting your last resort. Contact the Clerk, Bryn Hand, at [email protected] or 715-634-4123 to verify hours. Lastly, please do not contact Board Supervisors, the Chairman or other officials for guidance and information on voting. The Clerk is the only official that can do voting and the only one with information on protocol and hours.
The Town of Hayward takes the safety and health of our residents very seriously. We are hiring extra cleaning staff and will take all the necessary precautions and safeguards to keep our community and residents safe whether you are voting early in person, absentee, or on Election Day.
